Seeking sports and entertainment opportunities
Ian Cervantes
I build sports and entertainment experiences that bring people together.
USC Public Relations and Advertising senior building a career in sports and entertainment partnerships, sponsorship activation, event operations, and communications.

01 / About
Built for the moments behind the moment.
I’m a USC senior studying Public Relations and Advertising with a minor in the Music Industry. As a first-generation college student, I found my way into sports through music, language, and live experience.
Baseball and soccer helped me meet people and learn English, while the USC marching band brought the perfect blend of music and sports into my collegiate experience. That perspective shapes how I support athletics, events, and communications: with heavy preparation, care, and a focus on creating memorable moments at the University of Southern California.
02 / Experience
Calm execution in fast-moving environments.
Experience across athletics, live events, community communications, and student leadership.
- Coordinate logistics for more than 100 university events annually, ranging from small meetings to programs serving 50–800 attendees.
- Manage venue setup, breakdown, timelines, and operational flow to keep events aligned with client expectations.
- Supervise, train, and lead more than 10 student staff members.
- Resolve guest, vendor, and operational issues in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations.
- Developed public relations and digital materials for a nonprofit youth soccer league focused on affordability, family registration, and community support.
- Created website copy, news release materials, social content concepts, video-script support, and visual assets.
- Translated soccer and community-impact messaging into clear, welcoming communication for families, volunteers, and local supporters.
